Also make sure the ground is as flat as possible, or try and fallow with the least hilly area as possible.ģ: never heard of people getting trapped due to Pathing, ( Least not sicne the first pathing engine issues ) can you provide the location of this happening? you can also clear or fix pathing by doing Ctrl + Shift + F11 or going into the counsel menu, ( Shift + F12 ) click fix stuff then exit without saving. Place wall sections one at a time instead of large length's at once. You built the walls wrong, if they floating, the game will not see them as an obstacle and will allow anyone to walk thru. the rougher the terrain the worse the issues with the base it becomesĢ. There are certainly things that I think should be part of the game as well as some things are pretty clunky in their design, but the game isn't intrinsically broken when it comes to base building.ġ: depends on where you build and how you build. The game could do a better job of explaining them for sure. I'm not making excuses here, but there are a lot of things that are not immediately evident when you first start building your base. Also, recalculating paths often fixes things, there's a specific command for it Ctrl+Shift+F11, or doing it through the Shift+F12 and 'Fix Stuff'.īut I've found that with most things in this game that if something is going wrong then it's not necessarily broken it's just that it's counter-intuitive and I've been coming at it making assumptions. I'll give you that the building isn't perfectly implemented, and those quirks are definitley bugs, but it is possible to work around them. Plenty of people are able to build bases that function fine, but there's certainly an element of learning the quirks of what works and what causes issues. The game is a potential masterpiece but it's drowning in bugs and glitches, so much so that it becomes unplayable without mods. The game is already hard as it is, adding to it with insanely stupid glitches and bugs does not help.

Hearing Kenshi is the ultimate RPG you wouldn't be wrong, there is a lot this game has that makes it a unique RPG but there's a lot lacking that takes away from that as well, I love the idea of a full lore system but not when my walls don't register and I'm thrown into the lions den literally with no way to defend myself because walls and gates do not register properly. It would be absolutely beautiful if it was working but the many bugs and glitches just make it unplayable and uncomfortable. Right now I'd best describe this game as a broken porcelain doll.

You might as well not even have it as an option since it really does nothing asides remove bothersome wall or broken gate pieces.Ħ: Mods can only fix so much of this broken mess of a potential masterpiece. ĥ: In game console system might as well not even exist, I tested to see how it worked Shift=f12. ģ: Ai pathfinding is clueless at times often getting trapped until you reload a save.Ĥ: Resource management is interesting but not when your party members stop doing their jobs as builders even with the resources required to build with. Let me narrow down the biggest issues right now.ġ: Base Building/Plotting is an absolute disaster.Ģ: Walls and Gates don't even register properly, enemies and party members phase right through them. I hope Kenshi 2 will fix and improve the many problems plaguing this game. We can defend 10 years of hard work and the game is impressive don't get me wrong but when I have to continuously keep reloading because something glitched out it becomes a sad and buggy mess and I can't recommend this game. It does not work, the plotting of building is broken, stairs don't do anything and the Ai itself is again. It's almost funny how terribly the wall system is in this game. Base-building is laughable at best right now, you can't maintain your own little town or castle, or fort all you can really do is provide sustenance to survive being brutally murdered by the many gangs of bandits out there. The game is absolutely horribly buggy and while fun at first it becomes tedious and boring after a while.īasebuilding is absolutely broken beyond measure, enemies are able to ghost right through walls that should be solid, and pathfinding is hilariously broken. It's impressive for 1 person yes, but this is not the only amazing game created by a single person or even a small team. This game is broken beyond words, and people really need to stop defending it. I understand that one developer made this, but this has been 10+ years in the making.
